Aspirator AS Selecta

The PETKUS Selecta AS Series sorts seeds on specific weight in a vertical air column, directly behind the vibrating feeder. The aspiration units can be used as stand alone units but can also be integrated in PETKUS Selecta cleaning, calibration and sorting machines.

Core Technology

The AS 1.1 is ideal for pre-cleaning of samples in plant breeding / seed test labs and is used on top of the spiral separators to operate both as a (pre-) cleaner and feeder.

The AS 2.5 is ideal for pre-cleaning of samples in plant breeding or even for final cleaning for breeding samples of heavy seeds. Used as a stand alone machine.

The AS 10.0 is the ideal machine to be used as a pre-cleaner in a seed-cleaning line for the bigger capacities or as stand-alone machine. Also available with a special feeder for difficult seeds like lettuce to remove the very light debris.

Main features

  1. Open system combining high capacity and easy access for high efficiency (samples per hour)
  2. Precise construction and smooth finish enables the AS aspiration units to be 100 % self cleaning
  3. No mixing of seeds
  4. Feeding by VIDOS vibrating feeder for a regular flow, with integrated continuously variable speed adjustment for very precise dosing
  5. Hopper height adjustable above the vibrator
  6. Glass window (not static!) for inspection, easy open for inside cleaning
  7. Aspirator fan with stepless speed regulation by frequency inverter
  8. No valves to regulate air flow, digital read out of fan speed makes setting easy and reproducible
  9. Can operate stand alone, with dust bag filter as well as connected to a central dust aspiration system.
  10. The machine is easy to operate, only electrical adjustments and NO adjustable valves etc. This makes the adjustments 100 % reproducible.
