Before barley, spelt or oats can be industrially prepared and processed, they have to be hulled, de-awned or polished. PETKUS De-Awners are special machines that gently remove awns, husks, clippings or beards, dissipates clumps and polishes seed.

Adaptation to the Product
The agitator shaft is optionally equipped with round or square product-protecting pin beaters. Processing intensity is controlled by adjusting the speed and throughput.
Robust, Wear-Resistant Construction
The De-Awner has a bolted housing made of painted sheet steel and a low-maintenance drive unit with electric motor.
Interchangeable Wear Plates
The product is rubbed against the outer mantle, which removes awns and husks from the grain.
