Milestone in Chemical Free Seed Disinfection
The active steam treatment of the MultiCoater CM HySeed bio effectively eliminates a broad spectrum of seed pathogens without the use of chemicals. In addition to the relevant laboratory results, the effectiveness has now also been proven by the Plant Protection Service of the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture. Testing was carried out according to the generally accepted rules for the testing of crop protection products.

PETKUS and SELECTA start Joint Venture to strengthen their fine- and vegetable seed business
The recently launched PETKUS fine seed machinery segment got a considerable strengthening and complementation. The PETKUS Holding acquires a majority interest in a joint venture with Selecta Machinefabriek BV. For this purpose, a new corporation was started and named "PETKUS Selecta BV". Selecta will be relocated and will move closer to the new PETKUS Vegetable and Fine Seed Technology Centre in Zwaagdijk (NL).

PETKUS K-Cleaner Series: A Small Machine helps stimulate the African Seed Market
A small effective machine with high impact: In close collaboration with the GIZ, PETKUS delivered a mobile seed plant to NAFASO, the largest seed producer in Burkina Faso with considerable market share in West to Central Africa. The mobile plant with the cleaner type K 531 as the centrepiece is doing a great job. During the ten weeks of operation, more than 2.000 t of seeds such as maize, black eyed peas, sorghum and sesame were processed.

Going beyond the lab and testing at full commercial scale – all for the benefit of the PETKUS/EES Companies’ clients in North America. EES Companies invested in a large operational testing facility in the Des Moines area, where seed samples can be analysed using commercial throughput rates and quality standards on a one-to-one customized basis. A prototype gets ready for series production: PETKUS presents the MultiCoater CM 25
The PETKUS MultiCoater family has a new member. After having presented the CM 100 prototype at the AgriTechnica 2015 which has attracted a great deal of attention since then, the “little brother” CM 25 has now been launched. It inherited the innovative genes of its “CM” family: Coating and drying in one step, air cushion technology, wing-form deflectors made of a shock-absorbing polymer as well as a precise, fully automatic control system with recipe saving features.

The PRoF-Project: Kick-off event for scientific networking with well-known scientists

Quality on Wheels: PETKUS and GIZ deliver mobile seed plant to Burkina Faso
Small plant with big impact, as at the end of the project the compact mobile PETKUS seed plant will supply more than 15,000 rice and sesame farmers with enhanced seed. Nowadays, post-harvest losses amount to 35%, and only 17% of the farmers use certified seed. As a result, poor emergence and inhomogeneous canopies with uneven ripening reduce yields.

The PETKUS G mid-ex was recently launched for market at the AgriTechnica 2015 and has established itself well in the market in this short time period. Test winner PETKUS C 200: each pill as perfect as the next
Uniformly round and free of cracks to its surface: the perfect pill becomes a reality through usage of a PETKUS seed pelleting line. When put to the test against a Western competitor, the PETKUS batch treater C 200 demonstrated its superiority in the pelletizing of sugar beet seed. On site at BETA Ziraat ve Ticaret A.Ş. in Altİnekin, Turkey, the treaters’ process and pelleting quality were analysed after being run under practical conditions.

PETKUS is building one of the most modern seed processing plants in Germany
After a mere ten month planning and construction period the traditional and well established Thuringian company, PETKUS Technologie GmbH opened one of the most modern seed processing plants in Germany. For the Raiffeisen Waren GmbH Kassel, it is a turnkey processing plant, including combined storage silos in Großengottern. 162 years of experience is what PETKUS brings to its partners and customers with their specialty field of seed and grain processing machines. As a partner in the modern agriculture world PETKUS delivers globally not only individually designed machines but also logistical and technical concepts: starting with the delivery of goods, cleaning and sorting, storage and packaging. Because of this history, knowledge and established name the Raiffeisen Waren GmbH Kassel entrusted PETKUS with a contract in September of 2013 to build a new seed processing plant with a high emphasis being placed on environmental and user-safe technologies. Harvest begin 2014 was the agreed upon completion deadline. Since then, the processing and refining of various different cereal species such as wheat, barley, rye and oats to high-quality, certified seed take place in Großengottern.
Career start at PETKUS Four apprentices start into their professional lives
September 1, 2014, full of energy four new apprentices start their training program at PETKUS Technologie GmbH. PETKUS was founded in 1852 as the world's first company specialized in the construction and production of seed sorting and cleaning machines. Since its inception the company has been a major employer in the region. Last spring the four young men – Moritz Büchner, Tobias Märtin, Tom Mehrbach, and Karl-Wilhelm Spahn –applied and were accepted for the three and a half year apprenticeship program in mechatronics in the headquarters.
PETKUS Gravity Table G40 - The next Generation
Founded in 1852 PETKUS was the first company worldwide to specialize in the design and production of seed sorting and cleaning machines. The focus on continuous improvement and development throughout the changing decades has led to its standing as a traditional and reputable force in Thuringia. After two years of research and in cooperation with scientists PETKUS has landed a coup with its new Gravity Table G40. The objective of the new design was to achieve the best possible separation effect and a cleaning efficiency of nearly 100%. To achieve this goal, research was conducted with state-of-the-art fluid mechanics simulation tools.
PETKUS goes Green – focusing on the future
The PETKUS-engineers have developed the first “green” continuous flow dryer that can be operated entirely without fossil fuels. The initial move for this purpose was made by the Czech partner Bednar FMT s.r.o.. This led to an ecologic progressive cooperation.
